How to Get White Teeth - Everyone Can Whiten Their Teeth at Home With Whitening Gel

One of the most popular teeth whitening product in the market is the tooth whitening gel. This is due to the fact that it is very effective. Not only that, they are cheap and there are different ways in applying the gel. Gel based whitening products are a good method if you want to remove minimal or moderate stains on your teeth. What's more is that they can be done within your home.

You can use the teeth whitening gel with different products. You can try them together with strips, trays, or whitening kits. Whitening strips are preferred by some people because they already contain whitening gel and only need to be applied to the teeth. You can then leave the gel and strip over your teeth and you can then discard it when it is done.

Dissolving strips are the popular ones since they dissolve once they are used up. This works best for those who are usually on the go. Although they are convenient they do not guarantee the best whitening effect because you cannot be sure the strips are covering your teeth properly.

Whitening trays offer a better whitening effect than the strips. They are also the best way to whiten your teeth. This product comes together with a tray that you can use again and again as long as you clean them.

To use the whitening tray, you pour some gel over the tray and place it over your teeth for a certain amount of time, usually around ten minutes to 15 minutes. You can remove it once the effect is achieved. You can then clean it for the next time you will use it. This is best applied right before you sleep or before you go to work.

Before you use a home tooth whitening kit make sure you are not drinking tea, coffee, soda drinks or eating anything that will counter the effect of the whitening process. The instructions that come with the product will normally tell you quite clearly what you should avoid eating and drinking.

There are many home whitening kits which can be used together with whitening gels. These provide the maximum whitening effect. These kits contain the tray based gel system and a back up product using a whitening toothpaste and some form of whitening rinse. These kits provides protection from stains and discoloration and will give you your white shiny teeth back again.

Best Home Remedies For Bad Breath

There are a number of people who suffer from halitosis. Some of them are never aware of their condition while others know about their state and feel very embarrassed about it. They fear talking to and around other people as they are very self-conscious about how others will perceive them. Bad breath has a lot of negative social, physical, and emotional effects and as such, there is a need to find means and ways of getting rid of it.

One of the causes of halitosis is found in our normal digestive processes. Natural protein breakdown has the effect of causing bad mouth odor. Consequently, when you eat lots of proteins you increase the chances of bad breath. The other cause of bad breath relates to mouth infections. These infections make it impossible for an individual to have bad breath because first, most of the infections do not allow you to brush your teeth as effectively as you should and secondly, some mouth infections might cause chemical breakdown as they spread in your mouth or as they heal. Consequently, the chemicals being emitted are what are responsible for bad breath.

The other common cause of halitosis can be attributed to sinus infections. Sinuses are located at the back of the throat and might cause nasal discharges which discharges are what are responsible for bad breath. Poor dental hygiene will also cause a poor smelling mouth. The part that is most affected is the tongue. This part of your mouth is a favorable place for bacteria to flourish. Consequently, if you do not take care of your mouth, then you are most likely to have bad breath. Again, the kinds of food you eat will determine the kind of breath you have. For instance, if you eat garlic or other spices it is highly probable that your breath will be affected.

The good news is that you are able to deal with halitosis. There are a number of natural ways through which you can get rid of bad breath. One of the most obvious ways is through good dental hygiene. Good dental hygiene requires that you brush your teeth twice a day. Brush your teeth for five minutes in the morning and before you go to sleep every night. Ensure that you cover all areas of your teeth because even the small traces of food that are caught up in between your teeth are able to cause smell. Brush your gum and tongue thoroughly and then rinse your mouth with clean water.

The other natural way of dealing of halitosis is by drinking lots of water. This is most helpful if the bad breath is caused by the kind of food we eat or by other digestive activities in the body. Water will fasten and ease your digestive process. Further, drinking water regularly will stimulate the production of saliva, which is required to naturally wash the mouth. These two methods are the most reliable home remedies for bad breath. Adhere to them and you will be on your way to fresher breath and wider smiles.

Causes and Treatment of Sensitive Teeth

Teeth sensitivity is caused by the thinning of the tooth enamel that covers the dentin which in turn protects the inner pulp of the teeth. It can also be caused by the receding gum which exposes the root that is not adequately covered by enamel or dentin. Pain or discomfort is triggered when the nerve cells found in the dentin are stimulated by exposure to hot or cold food and beverages, contact with hard objects and exposure to cold air.

Exposure of the teeth to extreme temperatures like drinking iced beverages, eating ice cream, drinking hot milk, tea or coffee, chewing hot food, can cause the hard protective enamel to crack. Although the cracks maybe tiny, hot and cold sensations can penetrate these cracks and travel to the nerves to cause pain or discomfort.

Nearly all toothpastes clean the teeth with the use of finely ground abrasives including calcium carbonate, baking soda, aluminum oxide, and silica. Some whitening toothpaste increase the abrasives content of the toothpaste that can thin down the tooth enamel and cause teeth sensitivity. Anti tartar toothpastes can also increase teeth sensitivity.
Using mild toothpastes and desensitizing toothpastes can alleviate the pain or discomfort of sensitive teeth. Ask a licensed dentist for advice about using the right kind of toothpaste for your sensitive teeth. Using a soft bristled toothbrush and using gentle strokes when brushing will prevent exposure and wearing down of the root surface and prevent thinning down of the enamel. If the bristles of your toothbrush wear down pointing in different directions, then you are brushing your teeth too hard. Make your stokes light and firm.

Cracks should be filled by a licensed dentist to prevent teeth sensitivity and tooth deterioration. Lesser intake of acidic food also helps to prevent tooth sensitivity.

Symptoms of tooth decay and abscess can be similar to symptoms of tooth sensitivity. Any tooth pain or discomfort should be consulted with a licensed dental health professional. Teeth sensitivity that lasts for more than four days should be brought to the dentist for professional evaluation and diagnosis. Self medication may worsen the condition and is therefore not advised.

Good oral hygiene that includes regular brushing and flossing as well as eating the right kinds of food are the best ways to prevent teeth sensitivity and other dental problems. Regular visit to the dentist at least every four months is the best way to maintain good dental health

Cure And Eliminate Sciatica Naturally

Are you saying to yourself, "I guess it's time to get back surgery to end this unbearable pain?" Does it seem you have exhausted all other means? You probably have visited your doctor numerous times, taking prescribed medications or had therapy treatments which never seemed to help. The minute you stopped taking the drugs, the pain came back. The discomfort you suffered from exercise was punishing, not to mention the expense of drugs and therapists. Perhaps you just haven't hit upon the right solution. Did you know that you can cure and eliminate sciatica naturally, safe and effectively?

The first thing to consider is the reason for sciatica and why it happens. Sciatica is a condition where pain is experienced in the lower back and surrounding areas. It is caused due to compression and irritation in the sciatic nerve. A herniated disk, a pinched nerve or spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal column) may directly irritate and cause inflammation in the sciatic nerve. This happens more often as one ages. Changes in the body, especially in the spinal region, causes damage of the nervous system. Disks in the spinal chord deteriorate with time, becoming one of the most common causes of sciatica.

It can start as early as thirty, sometimes earlier. Some of the causes include sitting in one position for long periods, carrying heavy weights frequently, or even being on the move for long durations of time. Sometimes even a simple movement can cause the sciatica pain. That's when to cure and eliminate sciatica naturally comes in very handy.

You really don't have to suffer from sciatica any more. There are ways to treat the disease in 7 days and actually see the effects in minutes. How nice it would be not to take harmful drugs any more...to no longer endure painful therapy...to say goodbye to doctors...and most importantly save the money. Considering back surgery can be a painful experience with a long recovery period, not to mention the tons of medical bills that can pile up. So, you can cure and eliminate sciatica naturally and experience no more suffering because you are pain free.

Now it's time to get your life back! With no more pain, self confidence and self assurance returns. You can enjoy all the things you used to do. There is no more misery and inconvenience in your life, which means a much happier you. You can cure and eliminate sciatica naturally and forget about that surgery. Miracles do happen!

Dealing With Back Pain - What Can You Do?

At some point in their lives, a large majority of people, both men and women, will suffer with back pain. It can be completely debilitating when it strikes, and varies in severeness from mild stiffness to the kind of back pain that completely restricts your ability to move. It can develop from not bending properly when lifting and moving heavy items, or once you've had back problems, it can re-occur with the slightest of activities such as simply bending to tie your shoelaces if you catch it wrong.

So, what can you do? I myself have suffered with quite severe back pain at various times in my life, although during the last two years I've been fortunate enough for it not to happen again. Around the same time that I decided to lose weight and increase my fitness I realised that my back pain was not re-occurring. Whether that is merely coincidence I do not know, but it does stand to reason that the less weight you are carrying around, the less stress you are putting on your back.

If you do get the kind of back pain which badly limits your movement, the worst thing you can do is to stop moving! This does sound counter-intuitive, but your back will eventually correct itself (unless of course it is something extremely severe such as a slipped disc), and you need to keep moving to allow this to happen. I don't mean running or lifting heavy weights, but just keep walking and moving around as much as you can. Do NOT take yourself to bed and lie flat for days on end as you will find this will only aggravate the situation and your mobility will worsen.

See your doctor and ask them to prescribe painkillers, and make sure you take them at regular intervals to keep the pain under control until you regain full mobility. Once your back has returned to normal, do ensure you act sensibly when lifting anything, such as bending at your knees to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Something else which you should consider to increase your mobility are Collagen Capsule Supplements. Visit http://CollagenCapsules.org for more information.

7 Immediate Steps to Deal With Back Pain and Sciatica

I first suffered back problems in my twenties after jumping off a ladder while wearing breathing apparatus as a naval officer. Over the years I thought the problem had gone away. Medical checks revealed no structural damage or major problems and yet intermittently the problems return To some extent I have gone down the route most do. Avoiding situations that "stress my back" or put it at risk.

I trained in karate and did weight lifting, no problem. Then I bend forward slightly to clean my teeth and bam a searing pain in the side of my back.

Pain killers and a few days of taking it easy and all is back to normal and I forget I have a "bad back", until the next episode!

Is this you? Do you suffer from un predictable intermittent back ache which varies in intensity and regularity.

It seems to occur when you least need it right? When you're bogged down with work, the kids are off school or your miles from the nearest doctor?

Perhaps some of my self help methods can help.

1. When the pain occurs stop what you're doing and immediately return your back into the position it was in before the pain occurred. Sounds obvious but by doing that you can prevent further pain.

2. Don't be afraid of taking pain killers. It will take the pain away and prevent your back seizing up due to lack of movement.

3. If you have a heat pad apply it. If not take a hot bath or shower. If your in a sunny climate lie in the sun for a short while with the sun on your back or if that is too uncomfortable site on a chair the wrong way round so you can lean gently over the back of the chair and allow the heat of the sun to warm your back.

4. Lie flat on the floor with a pillow under your knees. This will allow the base of the back to drop down over.

5. When in bed use only one pillow and sleep with a pillow between your knees.

6. Try sleeping on your back. To prevent yourself rolling onto your side place a pillow either side of you.

7. Walk around slowly for at least 15 minutes and listen to some music. This will loosen up your back and take your mind of the incident.

There are either more specific techniques which you can learn to cope with back pain and cure your back ache..

Well my friend I know what it feels like to suffer from back pain. I did for years before solving the problem. A nagging ache which sometimes progressed to a full blown throb, taking over my life and making me miserable. There are more methods I used but there isn't enough space here to list them. Stop the throbbing pain and forget about your back click the link to learn more and avoid Stop Back Pain again or visit http://stopmyachesandpains.com

3 Easy Instant Tips to Cure Back Pain After Pregnancy

Back pain is the most common symptom after pregnancy. Approximately 60 percent of women get back problems after they have given birth.

Back pain can be so severe in women after giving birth, that paralysis may occur down in both legs. Severe constant pain in the back with referral of pins & needles and numbness down the leg is the most common complaint after pregnancy.

This is due to the built up pressure along the spinal disc and nerves from the new born infant in delivery.

Fortunately, this can easily be remedied.

Here are 3 easy instant tips to cure back pain after pregnancy:

1. Sacro-iliac belt or pelvic strap

After pregnancy, the most common origin of back pain is from the sacro-iliac joint and lower back. Basically the tail bone, pelvis and the last spine joint is being inflamed. It can easily be remedied by buying a sacro-iliac joint belt or pelvic strap which prevents further aggravation of these joints. They are very cheap and cost US$10-20 from your chemist or supermarket.

2. TEN's unit

TEN's unit is basically an electrotherapy device which stops pain by blocking pain signals in your back. It also has a micro massaging effect which allows increase blood circulation and healing to the low back. They are very cheap to purchase and can easily be bought at the drug store or large retail store for US$50-60.

3. Lying on your back and rocking your legs side to side

This will immediately relieve back pain to your low back. It is used a lot in physical therapy and chiropractic practices to help with low back pain in pregnant women. The exercise is basically to lie on your back with knees bent 90 degrees. Then slowly and gently rock your legs side to side. You should not do this in pain. You will get an immediate relief from this exercise as it allows your spine to stretch and allows your spinal discs to rehydrate itself. A very effective exercise!

Healthy Weight Loss - 10 Tips to Grocery Shop For Health and Saving Money

The money which we spend on the groceries have doubled and tripled over the last few years. Therefore, it is very important for us to do our grocery shopping smartly. In this article we will provide you with the information to help you with your healthy weight loss plans along with saving you money at the same time.

Many people are of the misconception that shopping for healthy food is more expensive. With proper informed choices, you can actually save money while purchasing the healthy food. Healthy food is the core component of any weight loss program.

The belief about healthy food being expensive is absolutely not true. With a little bit of planning you can save considerable amount of money with the groceries which you use and take care of your health simultaneously.

Although experts recommend a long list of necessary tips to grocery shop for health and saving money, 10 most important tips are as follows: -

1) Plan: Make a detailed shopping list before you hit the grocery shop. If you want to experience positive results in your healthy weight loss regime, planning is extremely necessary. You will not be buying the tempting foods by doing so. Strictly go by the shopping list and make all the purchases accordingly. This alone saves a lot of money as it stops impulse purchases. Also shop only once a week with your menus planned out, that way you have what you need AND you have not bought junk foods to tempt you.

2) Utilize the sales and offers: You might need to make some extra space in your kitchen cabinet for the sales items when you get good deals. It is a good idea to stock up healthy food when you get them on good offers. If these are the foods you use on your nutritional program, then purchases make sense.

3) Eat before you shop: It may sound a little funny but if you are hungry, you tend to buy a lot of unnecessary things. You could eat low calorie food before leaving for supplies in order to stop that kind of craving. This is a big must for success.

4) Buy low calorie food: You'll need to make a list of low calorie food and snacks that keep you on program, healthy and satisfied.

5) Pack your lunch for their offices: You can cook at home or use the leftovers for lunch in your office instead of buying from the cafeteria. This is a perfect example for eating healthy food and saving money at the same time. Over time you lose a lot of weight and save money you can use elsewhere.

6) Think of fresh foods whenever possible: Buying once a week, organic if possible, fresh fruits and vegetables will lead to healthier eating. Try to buy local grown when possible. Yes, canned and frozen foods are cheaper than fresh ones but when available much more healthy and tasty too. NO preservatives and unneeded chemicals, especially salts.

7) Go green: You can eat vegetarian food once in a week and save the money which you spend on meat, fish and poultry. You may add beans, legumes, tofu, and eggs, etc to save some money and eat healthier. Beans and Rice added to your diet are a wise choice. Homemade enchiladas with bean, rice, small amount of cheese and sauce make a mighty good dinner.

8) Grow your own vegetables: you could grow your own vegetables, for example nice red tomatoes and green salad makings in your backyard. You may also consider freezing your own produce and enjoy nature's bounty for a longer time. Not only will you be saving money and eating healthy weight loss foods, you will also be doing some physical activity while taking care of your garden. Physical activities are always the essential ingredients of healthy weight loss.

9) Go for whole grain food: Whole grain bread although not as inexpensive as white bread, is a lot healthier choice of and carries fewer calories with more fiber. Recently I discovered help bread in the food co-op, it makes wonderful toast for example.

10) Avoid junk food shopping: Avoid the going to the junk food section which will affect your weight loss program. There are chances of you getting carried away by looking at the mouth watering unhealthy food. Bottom line, just don't go there!

There are plenty of plans which can help you to maintain your good health and save money at the same time. One of the simple things which you can do for yourself is walk to the grocery shop instead of taking your car or if it is far away you can park your car far away from the door. There are so many healthy weight loss tips; just do a Google search and you will have both support and information at your hands. Beware of hucksters selling programs and quick fixes of unknown products. Work from knowledge, not desperation.

Weight Loss - Secret Tips to Lose Weight Effectively

Do we need to lose weight?

For some of us it is a need, for others it is a must.

Why do some of us need to lose weight? It could be for a variety of reasons. We need to lose weight because we see a round face and a figure that is bulging around the waistline and flabby arms and the important evening function is just a couple of weeks away. Or we need to lose weight because there is a fabulous dress in a boutique which we must have but cannot get into since we have ballooned out of shape.

Maybe the reason is the new neighbor across the street who is in great shape and we are worried that our spouse find us wanting by comparison and his eyes may stray. We may feel less desirable and worried about the competition.

For those who must lose weight, the reason may well be the risks posed to their health. Perhaps the doctor had warned them that they could be at risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes, heart disease, even some forms of cancer. For this group of people weight loss is vital because their health is at stake.

Then depending on how out of shape we are, and how heavy and over-weight we are, it would seem to be an uphill battle to lose the weight that is dragging us down. Where do I begin? How can I get rid of all this fat? Can I lose weight fast? Will I have to starve? Can weight loss be safe? Is there healthy weight loss?

There are so many diets and weight loss programs out there. Which one is the best one for me?

Before you decide which weight loss supplements to take or which slimming program to embark upon, you successful your weight loss will be, depends on what you eat.

Here are some secret tips to effective weight loss.

You need to plan your diet. You should skip meals because it will not help you lose weight. In fact you will put on weight if you skip meals. This is because you will get so hungry that you will snack and the end result is more weight added on.

Breakfast is one meal you cannot afford to skip as it will jump start your metabolic rate and keep it burning throughout the day.

You need to adjust your mindset from three main meals to six small meals per day. This way your metabolism is fired up throughout the day and you will burn off the excess fat. You will not feel hungry either.

You also have to stay away from the calorie-laden but nutrient-empty food such as cream cakes, chips and sugary drinks. Avoid junk food.

Drink a lot of water because water helps you to lose weight.

Sometimes we begin a weight loss program but never complete it for various reasons. Perhaps the results are slow. We cannot see a slimmer image in the mirror but you must remember that the excess weight we piled on was acquired over the years and not overnight, so it would be unrealistic to expect to see a fat person shrink into half his size within a week. Weight loss takes time so you need to give yourself time for the weight loss program to work.

Sometimes it can get lonely, going it on your own so having a friend to lose weight along with you is a positive step. You can motivate each other when one of you is faltering.

You should also set reasonable goals, for example, lose 10 pounds in one month. Then when you achieve your target, give yourself a treat.Maybe a new dress or T-shirt.

Keep a before photograph on your dressing table where you can see your fat self and put a new photo of your slimmed-down self in that new T-shirt or dress next to it. This will encourage you as you can see how much you have achieved. You can put up a picture of the person you want to be, perhaps, a slim model. Visualise yourself as that model. This will turbocharge your desire to lose weight.

The Best Ways to Lose Weight and Eat Healthy

One of the best ways to lose weight is by keeping a Food Journal handy at all times and carrying it with you. By recording all you eat and drink on a daily basis, you may be very surprised to find you have picked up on some very unhealthy eating habits.

When you start your food journal, keep it simple. Commit to recording for at least a month, be honest with yourself and jot down everything you consume. Write down everything you eat and drink, including the amount you consumed of each item, the time of day and the activity at that time. When you review this journal it will give you a pretty good idea of your eating habits and what triggers them.

Some of the best ways to lose weight is by making small changes in your lifestyle and also in your eating habits. Use this journal to pinpoint the problems and it will very likely show you what you have to do to make the changes needed to help you achieve your goal.

If for example your journal shows you that you reach for comfort food or beverages while under stress, maybe it would be a good idea to eliminate the so called junk food or sweets you are in the habit of reaching for now and replace them with healthier food choices. Although we can control some of the stress in our life, there are many times we cannot control the stress and therefore substituting is the way to go. Also, if you reach for food due to boredom, you can switch to a healthier type of food or better yet, get busy with a hobby or maybe do something to occupy yourself and keep your mind off of eating.

Your journal may also point out that you are not only eating too much of the wrong foods, but it may show that you are not eating at the proper time. It has been pointed out that we should eat 5 to 6 smaller meals per day. Remember to start with a good nutritious breakfast and then work in the other 5 meals which will include your lunch and dinner along with some healthy snacks in-between your meals. This increases your metabolism so it will not only burn the calories you consume, but will also burn any stored fat as well.

I do hope you can see the benefits of keeping this journal and reviewing everything it contains while working toward your goal. It may show that the best ways to lose weight will be for you to make some slight changes in your eating habits, as well as your lifestyle as you know it now.

Don't forget . . . major risk's attributed to carrying too much weight can be Heart Disease, Stroke, Type 1 and 2 Diabetes, and Osteoarthritis.

Cold Vs Swine Flu - The Differences and Their Natural Treatment

The differences of a cold vs swine flu are in how serious they are. A common cold is normally located at your head level. It doesn't affect you systemically, so it is just a mild illness.

The swine flu, which simply has a different strain of virus to the normal flu, is more serious, as fever always accompanies the flu.

If you have a fever, it means the illness is systemic, so is more serious. But having a fever is also the body's way of preventing a virus from taking hold. As long as you are strong enough to withstand a fever, it should never be brought down by the use of suppressive drugs.

A fever also has some form of body ache, which a cold doesn't. Again, body aches show something systemic.

A flu can also have all or some of the normal cold symptoms, such as sneezing, coughing, runny nose, headache, restlessness, stuffed up feeling, sore throat.

So the symptoms of a cold vs swine flu, or any flu come to that, is a question of location. Cold symptoms are limited to your head region. Flu symptoms are systemic, with body aches and a fever. And possibly some cold symptoms, as well.

Both cold and flu symptoms can last from a day or two to weeks, depending on how healthy you are.

What you choose for the solution of either, will determine when you get your next dose.

Treating yourself holistically will start to take you towards better overall health. Treating yourself with drugs will make you more sick overall.

Apart from eating lots of fresh fruit and veggies, getting out into the sun and exercising, as a preventer for future colds and flus, diving into the wonderful world of homeopathy and home prescribing for yourself, may open new doors for you.

A simple kit which focuses on winter aliments is not expensive. It will come with instructions. And you might find a home study course, a book or a magazine helpful, too.

How Long Does a Cold Last and How to Shorten Its Duration in Seven Easy Steps

Asking how long does a cold last is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string. It depends on so many factors.

So lets look at a few.

Taking suppressive drugs tends to do just that, suppress the symptoms, without healing them. This can make the cold drag on, albeit with milder symptoms. But the drugs can also knock your energy.

If you are pretty healthy, a cold will last only days and the symptoms will be mild. On the other hand, if you're not very healthy, your cold will probably last weeks and the symptoms may be more serious, at least in the beginning.

So how healthy is healthy?

Several things contribute to your overall health.

  1. If you're naturally positive and happy, you'll find that you can overcome almost every ailment thrown at you.
  2. Diet plays a huge role. If you eat a lot of fast food, processed food (packets, cans, sugar, white flour, preservatives, colours, etc) you know you won't be healthy. But neither is a typical western diet healthy. It tends to lack the right amount of fresh fruit and veggies.
  3. Exercise, even gentle, helps keep your body working as it should be.
  4. With the recent scares of skin cancer, most people now chronically lack sunshine.
  5. Sleep is often substituted for work. This is far from healthy.
  6. Few people relax enough. A day should always contain some 'you' time. Learn to meditate, do yoga, sit quietly, whatever you like, but learn to relax and switch off.
  7. Purchase yourself a homeopathic winter ailments kit and try using the homeopathic medicines to shorten your cold and to prevent future colds.
